"The True Story of the Resurrection" April 27, 2017

Easter is not resurrection! Easter originated from a pagan Babylonian ceremony, started by a woman called Samaramis. This was done in honor of or in commemoration of her son being raised from the dead, using colored eggs. It was a pagan Vernal Festival taking place just about the same time the Christian church celebrated the Paschal (or Passover) Festival.

Christians have celebrated the Resurrection of Jesus, traditionally held on the first Sunday after the date of the first full moon that occurs on or after March 21st. Easter Bunny and Easter Eggs have no more to do with the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, than a witchdoctor sitting at the base of a totem pole!  It is known in Babilonic idolatry as the celebration of Ishtar (thus Easter). Christians don't celebrate Easter - we gather to celebrate the living Christ, the living Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

On the sixteenth day of April 2017, Christians around the world gathered to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and that's a completely different story than celebrating life and fertility with bunnies and colored eggs. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is not just another story because if this be the case then we have been deluded and Christianity is a hoax and Christ is false and the greatest fake ever.

The great apostle Paul, the most prominent preacher and writer, teacher of the New Testament wrote that if Christ did not rise from the dead there is no forgiveness of sinners. So we could conclude that if Christianity is not true then we have been dooped! And Christ is the biggest imposter that ever lived.

If he did rise from the dead, as he said he would then he is God in the Flesh, God Almighty, the Son of the Living God. If so, then He is the Light of the World, the Bright and Morning Star. He is indeed the Lily of the Valley; He is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. If he did come out of the grave than he is the conqueror of death, hell and the grave, and he rules over all power in Heaven and earth and under the earth.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ - thus it is the very cornerstone of our faith, and all of the truth found in the word of God. If He did rise from the grave then we must worship Him as Lord and Savior. We must proclaim this gospel to the ends of the earth because this gospel is the promise of life everlasting to all who would receive it.
