"Departing From The Truth" November 12, 2017

Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away but my word shall not pass away.” But the temptation says the Spirit, is to depart from the truth. The departure does not occur abruptly or all of a sudden! It is subtle and often from within the body of truth. It is not the enemy attacking from the outside that renders hearsay but rather from dissention among believers. In several books of the Bible we are warned against false pastors and prophets, false teachers. Those who would pervert the truth!  Warning against matters that mean little regarding “la vida eterna” (eternal life), while on the other hand ignoring the direct warnings regarding the indifference to the love for God and the presence of His Spirit. “The love of many shall wax cold,” in the last days many will lose their first love! This is all due to the departure from the truth. Jesus says, “You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.” When people depart from sound doctrine (teaching) they begin to be indifferent to Jesus himself (“The Truth”).

You don’t need a man or woman to teach you, you don’t need to buy their books and tapes, God has already provided for you, God does not depend on men or women to instruct His people. “When he the Spirit of truth is come he will guide you to all truth and righteousness.” (John 16:13).

Jesus warned more than once regarding false prophets - please read: Matthew 24: 11-12, 24 (false prophets) & John 14:17 (the spirit of truth).
